Attorney-client privilege.
Confidential communications with your lawyer for legal advice can be protected by attorney-client privilege. The protection depends on the relationship, purpose, confidentiality, applicable law, and exceptions.
Privilege is not a blanket guarantee for every message, document, or AI interaction. An inquiry alone does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Your lawyer should explain how privilege and confidentiality apply to your engagement.

Can I use Vault for anything?
CC us on every major thread you want kept together, not only traditional legal paperwork. Your lawyer gets the context, and we grab and organize the documents. Organization is distinct from legal advice, lawyer review or representation.
Where should I cc my documents?
Use the receiving address provided by your lawyer. Confirm it before sending confidential documents.
Does cc'ing a document mean it has been reviewed by a lawyer?
No. Vault organizes the key documents you share. Lawyer review is a separate membership benefit, with a 15-page limit per document.
Is every stored document privileged?
No blanket claim is made. Attorney-client privilege can protect qualifying confidential lawyer-client communications for legal advice. Merely forwarding or storing a document does not automatically make it privileged.
